Filtration Stages
Stage 1: Polyproylene Cartridge - 5 Micron Superfine Filter: Removes solid particles and impurities, such as dirt
and rust
Stage 2: Granular Activated Carbon (UDF) Filter: Absorbs odours, chemicals and chlorine
Stage 3: Carbon Block (CTO) Filter: Removes additional chlorine & water discolourants
Stage 4: Reverse Osmosis Membrane: Removes up to 0.0001 micron particle size, including colloids, metals, some
germs and bacteria
Stage 5: Post Carbon (T33) Filter: Improves water taste & restricts the regrowth of algae & other possible germs
from forming in the water.
Stage 6: Re-Mineralisation Filter (On Some Units): Re-introduces certain minerals and vitamins back into teh
water, improving the taste
Frequently Asked Questions
Question: My Unit seems to be running and "wasting" water continously?
Answer: Whenever your Reverse Osmosis machine is in use your waste water pipe will flow as this releases the
concentrated water that is left over from the reverse osmosis process, it is recommended that the waste
water line is attached to your drainage system, the water that is released over a 24hour period is
approxiamtely 20litres if the Reverse Osmosis unit is used regularily
Question: Can I store my waste water and use it in the garden?
Answer: Not recommeded as contains high concentration of chemicals and contaminants, that have been
removed from your tap water.
Question: Can I use the Reverse Osmosis to process and store large quanities of water?
Answer: Not recommended is a domestic unit and is recommended as a daily water filtration system.
Question: How many Litres per hour?
Answer: 150lt per 24hour period.
Question: What capacity is my holding tank, and what it is used for?
Answer: 12lt holding capacity, it holds already processed water to ensure a ready supply of purified water.
Question: How often do filter need to be changed?
Answer: Appriamately once a year.
Question: Are the filters available seperately?
Answer: No. the filters are recommended to be changed at the same time and are available in a pack of 5
cartidges
Question: Can I install the unit myself:
Answer: The unit is easy to install, but we do recommended that a qualified plumber installs the unit to your
household plumbing lines |
